Softball Preview: Northgate and Buford Square Off + How To Watch

The Northgate Vikings will square off against the Buford Wolves at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Buford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.6 runs per game this season.

Northgate heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Friday. They fell just short of Harrison by a score of 6-5. The Vikings' defeat put an end to their three-game winning streak.

Northgate saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trinity Hargrett, who went 1-for-2 while logging 3 RBIs, 1 double, and 1 run. The game marked Hargrett's eighth in a row with at least one run.

Even though they lost, Northgate hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They have not posted that few strikeouts since September 24th, when they also struck out one time vs. Carrollton.

Seven must be Buford's lucky number: they beat North Paulding with that score not once but twice on Friday. The Wolves snuck past the Wolfpack with a 7-6 win.
