Arcadia heads into the matchup have just come up short against nationally ranked Orange Lutheran (Arcadia was ranked 23rd at the time). Arcadia took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Orange Lutheran on Friday. The Apaches have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tyler Swilling was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 5.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Glendale ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Vasquez 4-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Nitros.

Glendale saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Tapia, who scored a run while going 2-for-5. The dominant performance also gave Tapia a new career-high in doubles (two).

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-11. As for Arcadia, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 13-2.

Glendale's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Arcadia hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .359. It's a different story for Glendale, though, as they've only averaged .186. Will they be able to contain Arcadia's hitters?

Everything went Arcadia's way against Glendale when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Arcadia made off with a 9-1 win. Will Arcadia repeat their success, or does Glendale has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
