Basketball Game Preview: Easley Green Wave vs. Mauldin Mavericks

The Easley Green Wave are taking a road trip to square off against the Mauldin Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Easley is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Greenwood on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Easley was beaten by Greenwood 66-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Green Wave have suffered against the Eagles since January 29, 2016.

Despite the defeat, Easley had strong showings from Josalynn Gamble, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 12 points and five rebounds, and Camora Little, who posted eight points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals.

Mauldin has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of T.L. Hanna on Friday.

Easley's record is now 2-8. As for Mauldin, their record now sits at 8-3.
