Basketball Recap: Bixby Comes Up Short

After soaring to 68 points the game before, Bixby was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Ponca City Wildcats, falling 105-28. The matchup marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Bixby has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season. As for Ponca City, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-17.

Bixby and Ponca City could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. Bixby (ranked 220th) will meet Union (ranked 12th) at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Ponca City will square off against Westmoore at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday down 239 places (284 vs. 45).
