Basketball Game Preview: Taylorsville Warriors vs. Fremont Silverwolves

The Taylorsville Warriors will take on the Fremont Silverwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Taylorsville: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Fremont has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.

Taylorsville is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Layton Christian Academy on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Taylorsville was outmatched by Layton Christian Academy and fell 78-29. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-14.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Fremont's strategy against Cyprus on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Fremont blew Cyprus out of the water with a 52-16 final score. The Silverwolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Fremont's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Taylorsville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Taylorsville ended up a good deal behind Fremont when the teams last played back in December of 2017, losing 55-41. Can Taylorsville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
