Basketball Recap: Mott Comes Up Short

If Mott was feeling good fresh off their 75-37 takedown of Walled Lake Western last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mott Corsairs fell just short of the Walled Lake Central Vikings by a score of 53-50 on Friday. The Corsairs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 54-51.

Mott's defeat dropped their record down to 18-3. As for Walled Lake Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mott will challenge South Lyon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mott is facing South Lyon at the right time seeing as South Lyon is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Walled Lake Central, they will take on Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Milford will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Walled Lake Central surely won't give up without a fight.
