Softball Recap: North Lamar Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

North Lamar made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Malakoff, but still couldn't quite topple them. The North Lamar Panthers never let the Malakoff Tigers get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Thursday. Considering the Panthers have won three matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for North Lamar and bumps their season record up to 5-2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs over those games. As for Malakoff, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3-1.

Coming up, North Lamar will be playing in front of their home fans against Community at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Malakoff, they will take on Mildred in a tournament on Friday.
