Softball Game Preview: Evanston Wildkits vs. Resurrection Bandits

The Evanston Wildkits will take on the Resurrection Bandits at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Evanston will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Evanston not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10th (when they won 24-7). They were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over Payton College Prep.

Delila Liston was incredible, firing off three home runs and six RBI while going 3-for-3. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Olivia Stanczak was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Evanston kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Lane Tech hit Resurrection with a five-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bandits came up short against the Champions, falling 12-3.

Resurrection's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Evanston, their victory bumped their record up to 6-17.
