Football Recap: Forest Hills Yellow Jackets vs. Anson Bearcats
Forest Hills had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They took down the Anson Bearcats 25-8. The Yellow Jackets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bearcats, too.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Forest Hills' defense and their three sacks. Jacobi Leak was especially locked on to Anson's QB and sacked him twice. Forest Hills got some further help from Cam Winnegan: he made four total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended three passes in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Anson still got an impressive performance from Jazear Griffin, who rushed for 126 yards on only ten carries. Griffin's longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Forest Hills is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Anson, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
