Baseball Recap: Priest River Takes a Loss

Priest River managed to slip by St. Maries the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Priest River lost 14-6 to St. Maries on Thursday. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lumberjacks earlier this season, when they won 8-6.

Broden Collins made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Priest River now has a losing record of 2-3. As for St. Maries, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Coming up, Priest River will take on Orofino at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Priest River's pitchers better be ready for this one: Orofino has averaged an impressive 14.4 runs per game this season. As for St. Maries, they will challenge Kendrick at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
