Basketball Game Preview: Immokalee Indians vs. LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls

The Immokalee Indians are taking a road trip to challenge the LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Immokalee comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Immokalee is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Donahue Catholic on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Immokalee was outmatched by Donahue Catholic and fell 64-7. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-4.

Meanwhile, LaBelle lost 61-41 to Babcock on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys/Cowgirls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 471st, while the Trailblazers are ranked 229th).

Immokalee's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for LaBelle, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Immokalee took a serious blow against LaBelle in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, falling 50-13. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Immokalee was down 37-7.
