Softball Recap: Three Straight Home Wins for Ector

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Ector had no problem doing just that on Friday. They beat the Dodd City Hornets by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-2. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Ector pushed their record up to 11-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Dodd City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-16.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Hornets beat Ector by a score of 11-5 on Saturday.
