Volleyball Recap: Elgin Comes Up Short

Elgin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Romeoville Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Maroons of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Romeoville, with the victory, they broke their 11-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-13.

Elgin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Cristo Rey St. Martin on the 19th. As for Romeoville, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Antioch on the 19th.
