Volleyball Recap: Algoma Takes a Loss

Algoma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran Blazers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blazers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Amya Lukes paced Algoma's offense, picking up four kills. Lukes got some help from Mackenzie Lischka and her five assists.

Algoma's defeat dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-17.

Algoma wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Manitowoc Lutheran on the 18th. As for Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Florence on the 18th.
