Philipsburg-Osceola is a perfect 3-0 against Bishop Guilfoyle since May of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Mountaineers are taking a road trip to face off against the Marauders at 4:30 p.m. Philipsburg-Osceola is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Philipsburg-Osceola was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Central Cambria 6-4.

Nick DeSimone spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits.

At the plate, Philipsburg-Osceola got a big performance out of Fischer White, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Archer Baughman, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Meanwhile, Bishop Guilfoyle came up short against Penn Cambria on Saturday and fell 8-4.

Jesse Georgianna made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Bishop Guilfoyle's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That lines up perfectly with their 12-4 record this season.

Philipsburg-Osceola took their victory against Bishop Guilfoyle in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 16-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mountaineers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
