With a playoff win on the line, Liberty rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  4-3  win over the Delavan Panthers. The  victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won seven  matchups in a row.
 Chandler John spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits.
 At the plate, Liberty's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Riley Fessler, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
Liberty's record now sits at 24-5. As for Delavan, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-17.
As of now, neither Liberty nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
