Basketball Game Preview: Jackson County Panthers vs. Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs

The Jackson County Panthers will challenge the Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Jackson County's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home while Winder-Barrow has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

Jackson County's tournament run continued when they took on Jefferson on Monday. Jackson County was dealt a 68-41 loss at the hands of Jefferson. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Dragons are ranked 45th).

Meanwhile, Winder-Barrow didn't have quite enough to beat Social Circle on Saturday and fell 37-34.

Winder-Barrow's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Jackson County, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Jackson County was able to grind out a solid win over Winder-Barrow in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, winning 42-34. Does Jackson County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Winder-Barrow turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
