Basketball Recap: Crete-Monee Takes a Loss

Crete-Monee lost against Bloom back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The match between the Crete-Monee Warriors and the Bloom Blazing Trojan didn't end well, with the Crete-Monee Warriors falling 54-37. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Crete-Monee lost, don't look at Kimora Darby. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Darby has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last six times she's played.

Crete-Monee's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-4. As for Bloom, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Crete-Monee will venture away from home to square off against Thornton at 6:30 p.m. on December 19th. Crete-Monee is facing Thornton at the right time seeing as Thornton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bloom, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-40 win against St. Laurence on the 14th.
