Basketball Recap: Lyric Ersland's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Flathead over Big Sky

Flathead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They fell 52-45 to the Big Sky Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-53 back in January.

Flathead's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lyric Ersland, who posted 18 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jordan Griffin, who scored 12 points.

Flathead's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Big Sky, their record now sits at 9-5.

Flathead has already played their next game, a 75-67 defeat against Butte on the 15th. Big Sky has also already played their next contest (against Coeur d'Alene), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
