Baseball Recap: Thornton Comes Up Short

Thornton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 8-4 to the Kennedy Commanders.

Ethan Stehle was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Zane Duran, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Thornton's record now sits at 0-3. As for Kennedy, they moved to 1-1 with that victory, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Thornton will head out on the road to challenge Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kennedy, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Wheat Ridge at 10:00 a.m. Kennedy is facing Wheat Ridge at the right time seeing as Wheat Ridge is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
