Basketball Game Preview: Babcock Trailblazers vs. Keswick Christian Crusaders

Two dominant guards in Marianeliz Murillo and Robyn Cantwell are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Babcock Trailblazers will take on the Keswick Christian Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Babcock is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Gulf Coast HEAT by a score of 59-28 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Meanwhile, Keswick Christian entered their tilt with Canterbury on Thursday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They claimed a resounding 65-23 victory over Canterbury. Given Keswick Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Canterbury is ranked 403rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Keswick Christian's win came from a few key players Babcock will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cantwell, who posted ten points in addition to six assists and four steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Hannah Jantomaso was another key player, going 5-for-7 en route to 11 points and six rebounds.

Keswick Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in nine consecutive matchups.

Babcock is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Keswick Christian, their record is now 19-8.
