Baseball Recap: Daniel Takes a Loss

Daniel fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Seneca on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Daniel saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lee Turnipseed, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Another was Greyson Davis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Daniel's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Seneca, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Daniel and Seneca should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. Daniel (ranked 15th) will meet Berea (ranked 215th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Seneca will face off against Blue Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 76 places (28 vs. 104).
