Basketball Game Preview: Newton-Conover Red Devils vs. North Iredell Raiders + How To Watch

The Newton-Conover Red Devils will head out on the road to challenge the North Iredell Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

While Red Devils fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. They breezed past Draughn to the tune of 77-35 on Friday. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Red Devils had established a 24-point advantage.

Braxton Eckard went supernova, almost dropping a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Mitchell, who posted eight points along with seven assists and five steals.

North Iredell not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 17, 2024 (when they won 72-50). They put the hurt on Wilkes Central with a sharp 72-52 win.
