Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Lancaster

Lancaster had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Berea Bulldogs by a score of 6-2. This was payback for the Bruins, who suffered a 13-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Brianna Cataldo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Sheridyn Mickles was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Lancaster's victory bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Berea, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-13.

Looking ahead, Lancaster will head out to take on A.C. Flora at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Bruins' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Berea, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dreher at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
