Kirtland Central is a perfect 10-0 against Shiprock since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Broncos are taking a road trip to face off against the Chieftains at 6:00 p.m. Kirtland Central is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Kirtland Central played against Aztec on Thursday and won via forfeit.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Shiprock turned things around against Newcomb on Wednesday. They blew past the Skyhawks 22-3. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Chieftains' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Shiprock's victory bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Kirtland Central, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

Kirtland Central took their win against Shiprock in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 14-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
