Football Game Recap: Madison vs. Hackettstown

Madison were fully in charge on Saturday, breezing past Hackettstown 56-7. Madison were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Madison started the match off right with 42 first-half points. Hackettstown came up with 7 to make it 42-7 heading into the break. The Madison defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the matchup. The win got them back to even at 1-1. The defeat dropped Hackettstown's record to 1-2.

Madison will look to defend their home turf next week against Bernards. Hackettstown will look to defend their home turf against Vernon at 7:00 PM.
