Softball Game Preview: Paramount Pirates vs. Downey Vikings

Paramount hasn't had much luck against Downey recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Paramount will host Downey at 3:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Paramount came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against La Mirada, falling 13-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Pirates have suffered since February 18th.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Downey's offense. They lost 10-0 to La Mirada on Tuesday. The match marked the first time this season in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.

Paramount's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Downey, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4.
