Basketball Game Preview: Grand Valley Mustangs vs. Badger Braves

The Grand Valley Mustangs will challenge the Badger Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Grand Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Badger likes a good challenge.

On Monday, Grand Valley humbled Harding with a 62-19 victory. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Badger came up short against Pymatuning Valley on Monday and fell 54-43.

Grand Valley will need focus on slowing down Riley Thomas, one of several Badger players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 11 points and seven boards. Gabriella Miller was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Grand Valley's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Badger, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

Everything came up roses for Grand Valley against Badger in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 66-29 victory. In that contest, Grand Valley amassed a halftime lead of 31-10, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
