            Softball Recap: Bryan Station Defenders vs. Scott County Cardinals        
        
		
        
        
            Bryan Station dropped their record down to 14-5 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They lost  7-1 to the Scott County Cardinals. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss the Defenders have suffered  against the Cardinals since April 15, 2022.
 Bryan Station saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Tiahna Bowman, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run.
As for Scott County, their victory bumped their record up to 20-5. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won 15 games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
On Scott County's side,  Ada Little spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. Little has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Lauren Jones was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  runs  she has posted  over her last eight  matches.  Makiah Jackson also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  triple of the season.
 Bryan Station and Scott County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage  in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. The Defenders (ranked 13th) will meet Paul Laurence Dunbar (ranked 163rd)  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile,  Scott County will  challenge  Henry Clay  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday with a big rank  advantage  (6 vs. 95).
