Bishop Noland Episcopal Day waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Psalms Christian Academy Ambassadors 3-0.

Bishop Noland Episcopal Day never let Psalms Christian Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-23, 25-14.

Bishop Noland Episcopal Day's offense was headlined by Caroline Hooks and Kynnedi Jones, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Maddie Portie and her 17 assists. Tessa Null controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Several Ambassadors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Leann Powell, who had seven digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Bella O'Bannon, who had five kills and two blocks.

Bishop Noland Episcopal Day's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Psalms Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bishop Noland Episcopal Day is set to challenge their familiar foe Midstate Homeschool at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Psalms Christian Academy will face off against rival Mount Olive Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
