Caleb Whitmore leads a balanced attack to beat South Fort Myers

The Lemon Bay Manta Rays's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They secured a 47-43 W over South Fort Myers. The win was just what Lemon Bay needed coming off of a 57-34 loss in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lemon Bay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caleb Whitmore, who scored six points along with five rebounds. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Benedict, who scored 11 points.
Lemon Bay's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for South Fort Myers, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.
Lemon Bay won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Imagine School at North Port at 7:00 p.m. on December 23rd. Imagine School at North Port is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 63.1 points per game. South Fort Myers won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against DeSoto County at 2:30 p.m. on December 23rd. DeSoto County is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
