Basketball Recap: East Coweta Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Douglas County came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against East Coweta, but Kieara Lugo wouldn't allow it. The East Coweta Indians blew past the Douglas County Tigers 55-33 on Tuesday thanks in part to Lugo, who posted 13 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

East Coweta's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-10. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Douglas County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Coweta will venture away from home to face off against Chapel Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East Coweta is facing Chapel Hill at the right time seeing as Chapel Hill is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Douglas County, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Douglas County Tigers duke it out with the Westlake Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
