Softball Recap: Bellmont Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

It's playoff time, and Bellmont had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Norwell Knights by a score of 9-5 on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Braves: when they faced off against the Knights back in April, they had to take a 12-4 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Finnley Godsey, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Emily Bleke was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Bellmont has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Norwell, their loss dropped their record down to 16-9.

Coming up, Bellmont will face off against Heritage at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Norwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
