Basketball Recap: Centerville's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

Centerville hadn't done well against Hagerstown recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Everything went the Centerville Bulldogs' way against the Hagerstown Tigers as the Centerville Bulldogs made off with a 39-17 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Lilly Catey and Mackenzee Johnson certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Catey posted seven points, while Johnson earned six points.

Centerville's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-7. As for Hagerstown, they are on a 33-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Centerville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-46 loss against Hauser on the 21st. After both having extra time off, Hagerstown and South Dearborn will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 12:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Hagerstown is facing South Dearborn at the right time seeing as South Dearborn is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
