Volleyball Recap: Suffolk Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against New Life Academy on Tuesday, Suffolk Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Knights fell just short of the Victory Christian Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

Suffolk Christian Academy actually scored more points across those five sets (90-86), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-23, 14-25, 7-25, 15-5.

Taylor Foster paced Suffolk Christian Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Foster got some help from Alison Sue and her 17 assists. Sue was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Suffolk Christian Academy's record is now 3-9. As for Victory Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Suffolk Christian Academy will welcome Bethel Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Victory Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against Great Hope Baptist at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
