Basketball Recap: Agi Thomas' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Custer County over Primero

Custer County was the 53-48 winner over Primero when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Custer County Bobcats fell 50-41 to the Primero Bulldogs on Thursday.

Custer County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Agi Thomas, who posted seven points in addition to 14 boards and four blocks. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.4 rebounds per game. Grant Rusk was another key player, putting up 14 points and eight boards.

Brett Kendall was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points and four steals for Primero. Kendall is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Robinson, who earned six points and ten rebounds.

Custer County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Primero, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.

Custer County has already played their next match, a 52-41 victory against Trinidad on the 7th. As for Primero, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 49-40 win against Hanover on the 7th.
