Baseball Recap: Woodbridge Comes Up Short

Woodbridge lost against Charles J. Colgan on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vikings might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-2 to the Sharks, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Woodbridge saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Parker, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Another was Max Powell, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Woodbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Charles J. Colgan, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Woodbridge and Charles J. Colgan should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. The Vikings will square off against Gar-Field at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (67 vs. 292). Meanwhile, Charles J. Colgan (ranked 76th) will meet Forest Park (ranked 234th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
