Baseball Recap: Lake Cormorant Comes Up Short

Lake Cormorant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 8-2 to the Olive Branch Conquistadors. Lake Cormorant was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Olive Branch apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Lake Cormorant saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derrin Randle, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Lake Cormorant's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Olive Branch, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-12.

While Lake Cormorant had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
