Basketball Recap: Wayne County Takes a Loss

Wayne County and Natchez squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Wayne County had to settle for second. They fell to the Natchez Bulldogs 40-36. The War Eagles have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Natchez to victory, but perhaps none more so than PAYGE JACKSON, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was RONIYA ELLIS, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Wayne County's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Natchez, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-9.

As of now, neither Wayne County nor Natchez have any future games scheduled.
