Softball Recap: Lamesa Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lamesa can now relate to. They came up short against the Muleshoe Mules on Friday, falling 14-3. The Tornadoes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mules apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

The loss snapped Lamesa's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-10 record. As for Muleshoe, they pushed their record up to 23-8 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

While Lamesa had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
