Preview: Odyssey Institute Minotaur vs. Parker Broncs
Odyssey Institute is 0-7 against Parker since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Odyssey Institute Minotaur will head out on the road to take on the Parker Broncs at 5:30 p.m. Odyssey Institute's defense has only allowed 28.6 points per game this season, so Parker's offense will have their work cut out for them.
After soaring to 56 points the game before, Odyssey Institute were a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They were dealt a 51-23 loss at the hands of American Leadership Academy - West Foothills. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Odyssey Institute in their matchups with American Leadership Academy - West Foothills: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Odyssey Institute got a solid performance out of Samara Grubbs, who scored four points along with five rebounds and four steals. Grubbs is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.
Meanwhile, Parker put the finishing touches on their 13th blowout victory of the season on Monday. They blew past Kingman, posting a 57-24 victory on the road. Winning may never get old, but Parker sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Odyssey Institute has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Parker, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.
Odyssey Institute might still be hurting after the 62-38 loss they got from Parker when the teams last played back in January. Can Odyssey Institute avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
