Football Recap: Argo Falls to Plainfield East in First Game of Season

Argo unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Plainfield East Bengals on Friday, falling 55-2. The Argonauts were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-0.

David Croom went supernova For Plainfield East., rushing for 175 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Croom was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Cloherty, who threw for 176 yards and three TDs on perfect 10-for-10 passing.

Argo wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-7 loss against Bloom on the 6th. As for Plainfield East, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-0 victory against De La Salle on the 5th.
