Basketball Recap: Austin Catholic Takes a Loss

Austin Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Parkway Christian Eagles, falling 47-10. The contest marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Tamerah Peterson was her usual excellent self, going 8-for-18 to rack up 18 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals for Parkway Christian. Peterson has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 41 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Angelina Marchesi, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.

Austin Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Parkway Christian, their record now sits at 10-12.

Looking ahead, Austin Catholic will square off against Merritt Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Parkway Christian, they will challenge Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit at 7:00 p.m. on March 5th.
