Basketball Game Preview: International Jaguars vs. Fortune Early College Panthers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as International Jaguars face off against Fortune Early College Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

International is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 50-49 victory over Alhambra. 50 seems to be a good number for the Jaguars as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

University Prep typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Fortune Early College proved too difficult a challenge. They secured a 65-61 W over University Prep. That's two games straight that Fortune Early College has won by exactly four points.

Fortune Early College's win came from a few key players International will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kaden Bean, who posted 15 points and five assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Malachi Hollingsworth was another key player, putting up 17 points.

International's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-12. As for Fortune Early College, their win bumped their record up to 24-8.

International strolled past Fortune Early College in their previous meeting back in December of 2018 by a score of 48-33. Will International repeat their success, or does Fortune Early College have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
