Softball Recap: Adirondack Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Herkimer, Adirondack was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Holland Patent Golden Knights as they made off with a 7-1 victory. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Brea Barrow, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Englyn Payne was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two RBI.

Adirondack has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games. As for Holland Patent, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Adirondack will venture away from home to take on Mt. Markham at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holland Patent, they will square off against Whitesboro at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Golden Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
