Basketball Recap: Haralson County Takes a Loss

Haralson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 73-53 to the Bowdon Red Devils. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 73-43 back in December of 2024.

Alex Ortiz was the offensive standout of the contest as he went 6 of 8 en route to 19 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Timothy Johnson was another key player, putting up ten points.

Haralson County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Bowdon, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Haralson County will host Temple at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Temple will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Haralson County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bowdon, they will take on Elite Scholars Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bowdon is facing Elite Scholars Academy at the right time seeing as Elite Scholars Academy is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
