Volleyball Recap: Bishop Watterson Wins Going Away Against St. Francis Desales + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jonathan Alder, Bishop Watterson was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the St. Francis DeSales Stallions with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bishop Watterson was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-13, 25-19.

Ava Picken had an outrageously good game as she had five aces and four digs. Those five aces gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Lane, who had ten digs and four assists.

They weren't the only good server: Bishop Watterson was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Francis DeSales only served four aces.

Bishop Watterson's record now sits at 5-7. As for St. Francis DeSales, they moved to 7-3 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Bishop Watterson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Calvert on the 13th. As for St. Francis DeSales, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Mt. Vernon on the 13th.
