JW North's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Skyline with a sharp 20-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.
Natalie Munoz made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. What's more, she gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest she's had since back in February. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February of 2024.
In other batting news, JW North got a massive performance out of Angelina Martinez, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Denise Martinez, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
JW North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in nine consecutive matchups.
While Corona del Sol didn't have the best season last year (they finished 14-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victor by a 14-2 margin over Lake Havasu on Thursday.

The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. JW North's victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. JW North has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .498.
