Softball Recap: Lockland Takes a Loss

After flying high against North College Hill last Tuesday, Lockland came back down to earth. The Panthers fell just short of the Cincinnati Country Day Nighthawks by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Nighthawks: they've now lost eight in a row.

Lockland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaylah Smith, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Lockland's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Cincinnati Country Day, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Lockland will welcome New Miami at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cincinnati Country Day, they will head out to square off against Roger Bacon at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
