If Booker T. Washington was riding high fresh off their 61-32 takedown of Notasulga last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Booker T. Washington Golden Eagles came up short against the Monroe Golden Tornadoes on Thursday, falling 67-42. The Golden Eagles' loss signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.

Despite the defeat, Booker T. Washington had strong showings from Raymond Minor, who posted 13 points, and Marquez Daniel, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points and six rebounds. Daniel has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Dylan Purter, who put up seven points.

Lamond Seadrow was nothing short of spectacular for Monroe: he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Seadrow a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lorenzo Still, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 15 points.

Booker T. Washington's loss dropped their record down to 14-2. As for Monroe, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-6.

Booker T. Washington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-48 defeat against Stranahan on the 27th. As for Monroe, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 74-59 victory against Long County on the 28th.
